Miss America Opportunity Standards of Conduct
AS A MEMBER of the Miss America Opportunity I pledge myself to:
Maintain the highest standard of personal conduct.
Promote and encourage the highest level of ethical conduct within the entire Miss America Opportunity.
Pursue the objectives and goals of the Miss America Opportunity.
Understand and discharge my responsibility to uphold all rules and regulations established by the Miss America Opportunity and my State or Local program.
Strive for excellence in all activities of my State or Local program.
Maintain the confidentiality of privileged information entrusted or known to me by virtue of my position.
Refuse to engage in, or countenance, activities for personal gain at the expense of the Miss America Opportunity.
Always communicate internal and external statements in a truthful and accurate manner.
Cooperate in every reasonable and proper way with other program members, and work with them for the advancement of the Miss America Opportunity and my State or Local program.
Create and maintain an environment at all levels of the Miss America Opportunity to the end that each and every contestant in the Miss America system is guaranteed a fair, objective and unbiased opportunity to compete for the scholarship award and the crown.
Perform all duties in a dignified and professional manner which is appropriate and sensitive to the feelings and impressions of the young women who compete in the Miss America system.
THIS CODE OF STANDARDS for members of the Miss America Opportunity has been adopted to promote and maintain the highest standard of service and personal conduct among its members. Adherence to these standards is required and serves to assure public confidence in the integrity of the MISS AMERICA OPPORTUNITY.
