About Our Program

The Miss Douglas County Scholarship Program is an official preliminary to the Miss Oregon Scholarship Program and the Miss America Opportunity, but we are so much more than an annual competition. We host an immersive professional mentorship program with countless benefits to all candidates, as well as coveted year-round opportunities for brand ambassadorship as Miss Douglas County, Miss Douglas County’s Teen, Miss Umpqua Valley, and Miss Umpqua Valley’s Teen.

In 2027, we are celebrating 80 years of scholarship, leadership, and service with the anniversary of the first Miss Roseburg (and Miss Oregon), JoAnn Amorde Berg, crowned in 1947.

Take a leap into the unknown and embrace the opportunity of a lifetime as part of our very special Class of 2027. We are now accepting applications until November 30th.

Meet with our Executive Director and 2026 Titleholders within 1-2 weeks to get your questions answered and learn more about the benefits of joining our program.

Start earning scholarships in September, attend our leadership development workshops from December-February, and compete in our annual scholarship competition on March 6th-7th, 2027.
