Become a Volunteer
Are you a kind-hearted and reliable woman who loves to lift other women up and give back to your community?
If so, you should join our volunteer committee as a Mentor or Shining Star Coordinator! Experience with the Miss America Opportunity is NOT required.
We are looking for Mentors with diverse skill sets and experiences who are willing to provide guidance and support to their assigned candidates starting in December and leading up to the annual competition in March. This is a very rewarding mentorship role with a requested commitment of 1-3 hours per week in January and February.
We are looking for Shining Star Coordinators who enjoy working with young ladies age 4-12 and want to help make their experience in our Shining Stars Program glamorous and fun. This is a less intensive role and the requested commitment is volunteering at a couple Shining Stars events in January and February, plus the day of their onstage appearance in March.
We also accept volunteers for sporadic roles, such as mock interview judges, talent coaches, paperwork editors, and lobby help on competition day.
